Community Involvement
One of my favourite pastimes is spending time with my family. I have been a supporter of many of the local sports and activities in Barrie since the early 1990s. I enjoy the time I spend coaching my children’s sports teams. I have both coached and sponsored my children’s hockey, soccer and baseball teams. I enjoy teaching children the basic skills and the importance of good sportsmanship and team play.
I am also a supporter of the Canadian Cancer Society and have participated in the Relay for Life for the past several years. As a cancer survivor I knows how important it is to raise money and awareness so more people can be as fortunate as I was to beat this disease. The balance of family, friends, and career is important to me and I realize every day how fortunate I am to continue to enjoy these things and I try to incorporate that into all aspects of my life.
